NORMAN SCHIPPERS – President
Norman played Division I basketball at Stephen F. Austin, following a stand-out performance at Garden City (KS) Community College. He was an Academic All-American who twice led his team in scoring while shooting over 45% from the three-point area and over 85% from the free throw line. He still holds the all-time scoring record at Thomas More Prep-Marian High School (KS) – one of the top prep programs in the state.
Norman has been active in youth sports over the past 20 years – coaching teams, running and working basketball camps, organizing AAU basketball teams, and working with children on their skills development. Professionally, he ran some of North America’s largest leadership and talent consulting firms.
With Alodia Basketball Academy, Norman leveraged his background and experience to provide a unique experience for each and every athlete to improve his or her physical, mental and leadership skills. Norman’s passion for helping athletes take their game to the next level and developing the leaders for tomorrow is the mission of Alodia Basketball Academy.
KEVIN ROY – Houston Basketball Programs
Kevin began his coaching career while in college at the University of Akron – working with junior high boys and girls. Following graduation, he spent 14 seasons as a high school coach in the basketball crazy state of Indiana, winning several championships and receiving Coach of the Year and Teacher of the Year awards.
After spending time as an academic administrator, Kevin fulfilled his dream of creating a full-time boarding academy in the Houston area for elite tennis players. He leads a team of coaches, sports psychologists and sports performance trainers in helping highly skilled athletes gain a competitive edge and achieve outstanding results.
Kevin continues to work with elite basketball players, and has helped more than 50 athletes receive Division I scholarships. Continuing his entrepreneurial ways, he developed a successful Web site that provides coaches and players of all levels tools they need to succeed.
